Q: Who should attend the ICT4Ag conference?

A: The conference welcomes a broad range of stakeholders coming from the private and public sectors and civil society, farmers and community organizations, development practitioners and academics, entrepreneurs, developers, application and system providers, telecom operators, innovators (iHubs), information specialists, technology intermediaries, policy makers, researchers and enablers.

Q: How can I get a visa to enter Rwanda, how can you support me with that?

A: How do I get from the airport to my hotel? Will there be a pickup service at the airport?

Question 11 Vaccinations/medications

Q: Are there any vaccinations required? Should I carry any specific medication with me?

A: Immunisation against typhoid and hepatitis A is recommended, but not required; immunisation against hepatitis B, tuberculosis, diphtheria, rabies, meningococcal meningitis and cholera is recommended for persons travelling frequently or spending an extended amount of time in Rwanda. Polio and tetanus vaccinations should be kept up-to-date.

There is a significant risk of malaria in Rwanda. Appropriate preventive medicines (prophylaxes) are essential for visitors. Furthermore, you are advised to wear lightly-coloured trousers and long-sleeved clothing, bring mosquito repellent and ensure that your accommodation is mosquito-proof.

In general, travellers are advised to bring along sufficient personal medication (if needed regularly), to drink bottled water and to avoid using ice cubes.

A proof of a yellow fever vaccination certificate is compulsory when your journey starts or entails passing through the yellow fever belts in Africa or South America.

A: The Conference will take place during the rainy season. Temperature might average between 20°C (68°F) and 30°C (86°F), while temperatures at night might drop.
